martha stewart for avery (at staples)

That is one hell of a collaboration. Martha Stewart for Avery at Staples. But I suppose this is justified. Why? Read on to find out why I think so.

Having read a lot about this range on Twitter and from some stationery addicts from the U.S., I knew that I had to get my hands one some of this range as soon as it hit British land. And here is what I chose to order from the range:

Two packs of the larger NoteTabs, three packs of the smaller ones and a pack of 'ultrahold sticky notes'. The last one, I just had to order to test out how true the 'ultrahold' word was within the title. I'm still yet to test this though as I can't bear to open the packet and just use that first sheet!

Here are the larger tabs, up close and personal:

I just love how it forms a little sort of curly bracket on the side, at the top. And I love the colour choice too: pink, yellow and green? And if you don't already know by now, I'm a huge fan of pastels so this is completely up my street!

Next, a closer look at the smaller NoteTabs.

Again, I love the design and the colours used for the tabs.

Then, I opted to try out one of the 'StackFit' range. I had no idea it was this big in real life, but then again, I'm not complaining as it fits well on one of the shelves of my desk. Both the top bit and the slide out drawer can hold A4 pages - just to give you an indication of just how big it is!

Notice how I am reading Philofaxy on my laptop (in the background!).

And with the drawer slid out...

I just love the colours used for this range but now I have a problem. I have invested in so many NoteTabs, what on earth will I use them all for? I'm planning to use the smaller ones as top tabs for my Filofax (I've seen this work for quite a few people and would like to try this too) but what about the larger ones? And I have such an abundance of the smaller ones that I can't possibly use them all up in one Filofax!

Suggestions? :)

How do you like this range, and can you see yourself buying any and using any of the goods? The range also includes pen pots, more StackFit home office accessories, some other storage stuff, such as a magazine storage folder, notepads and paper, but also labels and stuff. It really is quite an extensive range, but for me personally, I could only see myself utilising the items I bought above.

  1. I honestly love the Martha Stewart Avery line at Staples! Although, since I only have one Filofax (this is by choice) I try not to buy too much when I shop for essentials. I actually bought the small tabs that came WITH some small sticky notes but I can't find the item online for some weird reason. Anyways, I use them for my 'important' tabs in my Filo. I have a feeling I'll have these for a while :)

    1. Hehe I love it too :) I'm trying to slim down to only one Filofax in my collection but I'm finding it hard to let go of any! I might have to pop instore to see if there are some items that aren't for sale online in that case! x

    1. Hehe, I love them :) they are so pretty but also functional at the same time.

I'm trying to find other uses for them now, as well as in my Filofax. I'm going to make a recipe book so these will inevitably come in handy :)

And the drawer is so pretty! It comes in brown and white as well but I much prefer a bit of colour so chose the turquoise instead x

    2. I live in Brazil, and apparently staples has a store in São Paulo, but they don`t stock these tabs...
I'll keep checking ebay, I guess eventually someone will sell them :)

    3. I would offer to buy some for you and send them over but the postage would probably work out the same as the product itself so wouldn't be worth it :( would it be cheaper from the US Staples online store? x

  5. Oh, Martha Stewart by Avery is like a secret guilty obsession/addiction -- then again, the whole Filofax/organization thing feels that way because no one's really that interested in hearing about super-sticky sticky notes or pastel repositionable tabs. I have the "classic" small tabs (the corners are beveled) and also her little tear-drop color-coding labels, which I use to call out important appointments and special plans. (They're like little colorful post-its, the perfect size for a month-view calendar. Especially great when reserving dates for people that tend to reschedule!) I love these items, they're thoughtfully designed and well-made.

Just today, I stopped in a Staples and bought a package of MS X Avery chalkboard labels in the flourish shape. They're listed as kitchen labels, but I plan on using them on my deskside file boxes and in other spots near my work space. I have high hopes. How are you planning in using the "StackFit" drawer? Please do a post!

    1. Haha, I love being able to reposition these if necessary. I was tempted to get a pack of the tear-drop colour coding labels too but I wasn't sure what I'd use them for but your use of them in a month-view calendar is tempting me to get some too!

I want one of the expandable folders too hehe. I haven't set up my StackFit drawer in anyway special at the moment (not had the time yet!) so will have to be more creative in my thinking and get back to you on this! x

  6. How timely, I just got some of her stuff myself and love them. I had to stop myself from buying the whole aisle! (:

  7. I have a bunch of stuff from this product line! I haven't really used my tabs yet but they'll be going into my recipe development binder whichlid almost full and in need of an overhaul. I also bought the brown expandable file folder because I'm managing a four plex and it carries my tenants papers and is easy to tote around to their places. Also got the longer labels that fit on the folder tabs. It's great because I can colour code the tabs for each client.

I bought her brown binder with the blue dividers and the package of 50 pages with rounded corners. That one is a house hold binder and calendar that has menu planning and bills. Love the pocket inside thefront. Going to pick up the mini file folder to stick in there to keep our grocery receipts handy.

I had considered upgrading my cheap-o recipe development binder to a Martha one but it gets so dirty when I bake that I'll just have to pass.

    1. You're making me want to buy one of the expandable files! I really wanted to get one but couldn't think of a use for one, but I'm sure that once I do get one, I will surely think of something (no matter how stupid it would be hehe!).

You're making me want to buy all of this range! I can just imagine having a Martha Stewart x Avery workspace... the colours would be classy and would possibly make my work more productive (possibly grasping at straws here)! x
