my week #154

First week of surgery placement and I must admit, I'm not enjoying it as much as I did my medicine placement. There's no set ward for my surgical specialty and the random teaching lectures dotted around at random times are annoying for when I want to go into theatre/clinic/ward work. Here's hoping my second week is much more improved!

Also, I know I only made my Tumblr a few weeks' ago but I may stop posting on it due to some copyright issues I'm having. Basically, someone's reposted my image and claimed it as their own and it has been a massive wrangle trying to get Tumblr to do something about it. I've contacted the person, Tumblr and moaned about it on Twitter (sorry about that!) so for now, I'm holding off posting my own content on Tumblr. I may just post those study-related images on here once a week instead? We'll see.

How has your week been?

    1. Thanks :) They're copyright team aren't very helpful or friendly so I'm staying away from posting anymore original content on there for the time being x

  2. Ughhh sorry about the copyright issues! That's a big pain in the butt. Hope your next week on surgery is better, I found it those 8 weeks quite grueling.

    1. Thanks! I only have five weeks this year (ten next year if I make it through exams!) so it's not so bad. Definitely not enjoying it as much as medicine or general practice and not met any clinicians who are really inspiring yet which is a shame! x

  3. Is that a strawberry sticker? or did you draw it out? If so, what pens did you use?

  4. Do you have any good tips on revising for OSCE? I'm really struggling at the moment!

    1. Hi Meg, unfortunately, my exams are only a few weeks away so can't reply in as much depth as I'd like. I will try and write a post about how I go about prepping for OSCEs sometime later this summer. My biggest tip is just to practice - I know it's obvious but that's the only way to get good at things! And to talk to patients as much as possible on placement. Will try and share more tips once I have more time! Good luck with exams x
