my week #45

This week, I did a lot of life admin. Last night, my mum went to a friend's for a birthday bash so I was in charge of dinner. I decided on spaghetti bolognase but opted for meatballs (homemade ones!) and linguine, so in actual fact, it was more like linguine and meatballs. Scrumptious all the same :)

How has your week been?

  1. Yum, linguine and meatballs sound amazing! I haven't indulged in pasta in absolutely ages. I'm still truly in love with your beautiful Smythson organiser. I think it's nearly time I switched up my Filofax set-up for one of these. And adorable are your stickers this week?! x

    1. Linguine and meatballs was definitely the food highlight of my week! But then, I'm biased as I made it all (apart from the linguine) from scratch :-) Hehe, I love my Smythson binder too - and cos of it, it makes me want to be organised. Smythson do bound diaries too, and if I'm not mistaken, they use the same paper in it (honestly, the paper is heavenly) x

  2. Just a note, I absolutely love your Smythson diary. I even looked to see how much they cost (and almost fell over!). I also love the vivid pink of your binder! I would love to try to squeeze back into week on two pages in my lovely Winchester, (perhaps with lovely Smythson inserts!) but my work demands require (quite a bit) more space. I especially like the idea of thin paper which can take a fountain pen. Hmmm.

Your week spread looks lovely as usual.

    1. Aw thank you Josh :) Yes, they are a bit on the expensive side, I must admit! I was quite lucky in that the set I got was complimentary due to a problem with my order at the time. Unfortunately, I don't think Smythson do a layout such as DPP or even 2DPP, so WO2P it is or nothing it seems.

However, the paper is super thin! At a rough guess, they are about the same thickness as the Filofax white paper, but the quality is wonderful. I will do a pen test on it in a few weeks' or so but I still need to find my fountain pen (unpacking after a house move is a nightmare!).

On a sidenote, have you received my Christmas card yet?! It's been so long that I hope you have but I have been caught up with things and keep forgetting to ask! x

    2. Sadly I've not gotten your Christmas card. I keep hoping it may miraculously appear but it seems unlikely now. Quite sad!

I can make any diary work, but seem to function far more naturally with, minimally, timed scheduling. I did find a way to make the wo2p you sent me last September work well for me through the end of the year. Maybe I should give that a try again. But I always struggled somewhat with it.

I don't comment frequently but I do read your blog constantly and really enjoy it. The new(ish) tweaks to the look are very nice.

    3. Once I've unpacked and found the Christmas cards, I will send you another one :-) Seems the first one got lost, so hoping the second one doesn't (can't be that unlucky, surely).

Having just watched your video, your 2DPP inserts are pretty filled so I can see how you might have struggled with WO2P. I loved the sigh after you explained how you used your pages too (at about 1:30 or so) - really summed up your problem well. Will leave a more detailed comment on your video after this.

Ahh thank you :-) (can't help but blush at the last part of your comment) I know my blog isn't the best out there but it means a lot to hear that from you as your videos are (in my opinion) the creme de la creme of planner videos x
