my week #129

It's been a horrendous week - being struck down with food poisoning on Wednesday was not fun as the symptoms have lasted until today. Let's just say I won't be eating prawns for a while...

As a result of this, listening to lectures at home has not been a good way to study. There's nothing quite like being in the actual lecture itself and well, it's always nice to see a few friendly faces too. Plus, eating dry toast and plain rice is not a diet I want to carry on with in the long term! To reflect this, my pages are equally plain. Plain diet = plain pages!

How has your week been?

  3. So sorry to hear about your food poisoning! I myself was struck down by a mysterious upper respiratory tract infection this week and I was unable to attend any lectures or tutorials, or even leave the flat until Saturday :(

I just wanted to drop a comment though and say that I adore your blog. I myself am I medical student - intercalating this year though - and it's very inspiring and motivating to check your blog before I sit down to study. I was wondering if you had any tips for how you keep all your medical knowledge fresh in your mind? I find everything just drains out of my brain after a short period of time - probably because we have to squeeze so much in there in the first place! What I mean is do you have some rotational system for revising topics that you aren't actively being taught about? My memory is very good most of the time, especially for obscure facts and figures, but I struggle to retain big concepts without refreshing them regularly.

Thank you for your wonderful blog, I'm looking forward to your next post :)

I don't know what you mean by plain pages. Your pages certainly don't look plain! Everything still seems really cute.

  5. Awww, you poor thing! Nothing worse than food poisoning. I really hope you feel better soon. I was busy working in my studio on a card for my Mother in Law who is also feeling poorly, but it would be perfect for you too….Can't post it here, but will send it to you on Twitter xxx
